Nomad Sailing has provided students with downloadable course material to assist your with your course. In order to access this material you will need Adobe Reader software.
To the right of this article you will find an image link that will take you to the Adobe website if you DO NOT have the Adobe Reader software, where you will be able to download it and install it on your computer. Adobe will ask you to register the software for future updates.
Day Skipper (Week One) includes:
Introduction : Latitude, longitude. Navigational terms. True bearings and courses. Charts. Navigational publications. Chart corrections. Use of plotters and dividers.
Visual aids to navigation : Systems of Buoyage. Lighthouses, beacons and light characteristics.
