Best practice for fitting a lifejacket.
Make sure the jacket is worn outside all other clothing. The buckle should be secure and the waist strap tight enough to allow now more than a clenched fist underneath. Crotch straps or leg loops (if fitted) should be tighted so it is comfortable to stand but not enough to allow the jacket to ride up over the head if inflated in the water.
